One X
2012 / HTC
IF AWARD 2013
The One X introduced a new design language, SWAY, based on a concept that I developed for a Design Language exploration in 2010. The form for SWAY was inspired by nature and intended to perfectly fit the human hand.
The unibody design creates a simple, elegant profile that feels solid in the hand while the curved screen provides the user with a continuous touch experience. In addition, the micro-drilled earpiece and speaker grills and contrasting matte and glossy finishes conceived for SWAY became iconic elements of the HTC design language for the next several years and are embodied on devices such as the One S, and Flyer.
