The light through window grating
2011 / Taiwan Designers Week
Inspired by the patterns of Taiwanese iron window gratings, this lamp evokes the feeling of sunlight coming through a window. The frame consists of 57 pieces -- 46 wood cut pieces and 16 aluminum dovetail joints --assembled using the traditional mortise and tenon woodworking technique which eliminates the need for glue or nails to join the pieces.
